The Mermaid's Song traditional, arranged by the Tannahill Weavers
The Herra Boys by Pat Shuldam Shaw
Captain Horn traditional, arranged by the Tannahill Weavers
The Fourth Floor by Gordon Duncan
| All wonderful tunes here, starting with The
Mermaid's Song, which originated as a Scottish gaelic song. We
found the melody so beautiful that we have decided on this occasion to
play it as an air. The tune itself is one that we have known and
loved for many years, though we are only getting down to recording it
now. We've shown our appreciation by naming the album after
it. We finish the set with a tune written by the one and only Gordon
Duncan, who played with us for several tours during 1988. Nothing
can be written about the man that describes his energy - we'll leave that
to his music.
